Big Ben is in the building! After missing all of last season the Steelers faithful welcome the return of Steelers legend and leader Ben Roethlisberger. We know what we can expect from Big Ben but the real question is what can we really expect much from the Giants offense in this game? It’s their first game under the new coaching staff with no preseason under their belt to get comfortable, and now they have to face maybe the top defense in the league to open the season. Pittsburgh was a top-five defense last year, leading the league in sacks with 54. Last year one of the major issues with the Giants, especially when Daniel Jones took over for Eli Manning, was giving up too many sacks. Jones also had an issue with ball security. Generating turnovers is another area where the Steelers excelled last season. Ten starters return on that defense, and the Giants will be starting a rookie at left tackle. The Giants will grow into themselves over the first month of the season, but I don’t expect much in the first few weeks, and the Steelers defense in week 1 is an awful matchup.

The Broncos lost team leader and defense powerhouse Von Miller for the season in training camp last week. Denver and Drew Lock took over late in 2019 and had a solid finish to his rookie season, completing 64.1 percent of his passes for 1,020 yards and seven touchdowns over the final five games. The Broncos went 4-1 in those games to finish 7-9. The Broncos have boosted their offense on the back of those numbers adding running back Melvin Gordon III and drafted receivers Jerry Jeudy and KJ Hamler. Jeudy is expected to make an immediate impact while Hamler is dealing with a hamstring injury.
The Titans surprised the NFL last season flying into the postseason and one step from the Super Bowl. The surge coincided with the QB switch to Ryan Tannehill and the emergence of Derrick Henry into an all-world glorified superstar RB. The unit returns nearly intact, and it has distanced itself from the shutout loss in Denver last October, which prompted the demotion of QB Marcus Mariota. For good measure, the Titans acquired DE Jadeveon Clowney last week. I’m not concerned about this game being in Denver, they have had all pre season to get ready for mile high and with no crowd noise being a factor look for the Titans to extend a 5-1 ATS streak on the road.
