NFL Draft 2023 Betting Report

Sportsbook report and major market movers for the NFL 2023 Draft. After his undistinguished 2022 season at the University of Kentucky, bettors have warmed to quarterback Will Levis as the first pick in the NFL draft on Thursday.

The sportsbooks have taken more money and sold more tickets on Levis to go No. 1 overall in the past week than any other draft option. His odds plummeted from +8000 to +500 before climbing to the current +1000 while becoming the most popular pick, followed by fellow QBs C.J. Stroud of Ohio State and Bryce Young of Alabama.

Young (-2000) is the odds-on favorite to go No. 1 and has been since late March. He was the public’s top choice by money until the week of the draft.

Stroud (+2500) opened as the favorite and flip-flopped with Young several times throughout the early spring. Levis recently jumped ahead of Stroud for the second shortest odds.

Here is the range of odds for the three signal-callers since betting began:

—Young: -2000 (Current), -2500 (Shortest), +350 (Longest)

—Levis: +1000 (Current), +500 (Shortest), +8000 (Longest)

—Stroud: +2500 (Current), -400 (Shortest), +3000 (Longest)

Both sides of the bet for O/U total QBs selected in the first round are the two most popular over/under position bets by total tickets. Under 4.5 is backed by 51.6 percent.

Young, Stroud, Levis and Anthony Richardson of Florida are expected to get selected in the first round. The O/U bet could hinge on whether Hendon Hooker of Tennessee joins them.

Alabama defensive lineman Will Anderson and Northwestern offensive lineman Peter Skoronski are the most popular non-QBs for total money and tickets across draft bets.

Anderson (+100) remains the public’s pick by money (56.8 percent) and tickets (40.9 percent) to become the first defensive player selected although Texas Tech linebacker Tyree Wilson has overtaken him for the shortest odds (-134).
