The Falcons come off a game where they offensively out-gained Seattle and still got badly beaten. All eyes on Mike McCarthy Dallas win and cover in a high scoring game.

Detroit +6.5 @ Green Bay – The number isn’t right here. Detroit out played the Bears last week in all but 8 minutes. Everyone is back on the Aaron Rodgers bandwagon however his numbers over the last 9 games are very average. Honestly I think the Packers week 1 performance was more about how bad the Vikings defense is than how good the Packers are. Buy low, sell high. I’m selling the Packers. The lions lost to the Packers last season in both games but only by a total of 4 points. This game is close and the Lions win outright but the value is with the points!

Best Bet – Detroit Lions +6.5 -110

Buffalo @ Miami +5.5 – I still think Bill Belichick’s Patriots defense is one of the best in the NFL. Miami get +5.5 at home only because they come off a tough outing on the road in New England. Ryan Fitzpatrick has a passer rating of 100 against the Bills and a 4-1 TD-INT ratio. The Bills averaged 19 points a game last season, that’s just not enough to give any team +5.5 at home. Miami wins in an upset, take the value with the points.

Carolina @ Tampa bay -7 – The Panthers allow on average over the past 12 months 30 points per game. This is a great rebound spot for Tom Brady and his new weapons.  Brady has never lost the first 2 games of the season in his career and Tampa’s defense just quietly kept Drew Brees and the Saints to 160 passing yards. I’m not concerned the Buccaneers lost to the Saints in week 1, this is a new group that will get better every week. It’s going to be a long season in Carolina.

Best Bet – Tampa Bay -7 -110

New England +4.5 @ Seattle – Seattle won in week 1 but they were badly beaten on the offensive and defensive lines. The Falcons actually outgained them in yards. Bill Belichick’s defense in the last 12 months is 1st in all categories, PPG allowed, Total YPG allowed, Interceptions and keep opposing Quarterbacks to a passer rating of 61! Look for New England to run the ball and control time of possession and keep this game low scoring. Seattle is the better team, but I’ll gladly take the Patriots and the points.
